New studio album recorded locally by J. Ashley Miller (Ssion, Carnal Torpor, Child Being). Initially demoed by Justin Wright a year ago, Sounding the Deep has added Mike Vera as a permanent member on percussion and headed into the studio with more refined versions of the initial demo. Vera brings a new dimension to the layers of warm sounds that are Sounding the Deep. Their new sound is captured in the third release, "A Union According to Energy". Vast and colorful drum techniques from Vera give a slow and steady pulse to swirling and rich guitars that swell, drift, then reign you in for the crushing climax. This album will surely please fans of Earth, Steve Roach, Borhen & Der Club of Gore, Brian Eno and Eluvium. Presented in a 6 panel digipak CD with a limited run of cassettes.
